I have fighters i always like, win or lose.. and others i've just started to see that i kind of wait and see on. I don't put too much into a fight or two. But my favorites, will always be high on my list..

BJ, Georges, Mirko, Chuck, A Anderson, Rampage, Randy, Fedor

If I like a fighter I'm not going to stop liking him unless he does something really stupid or offensive. That doesn't mean I'm going to pretend every performance is great if they start to lose or constantly look for excuses.

I never cared that much for Cro-cop one way or the other but if Fedor came in and lost like Crocop has, I'd be as upset as his fans are. It doesn't mean I'd stop liking him but I'd be kidding myself if I didn't realize he wasn't as good as I thought.

This is sherdog, you just joined so apparently it's a shocker to you, but it's nothing new.

I personally think Crocop is done, not just from his recent performances, but from his comments about retiring after his contract is up. He has had a long career, and seems to be burnt out.

All but one or two of Randy's fights were title shots or defenses
how many did cro cop have?

You can't compare their records or Indy has always fought either the number one contender or the champion at that time

So bandwagon or not, nuthuggers aren't TRUE fans of the *sport*. I think the TS is more addressing "true fans of fighters" more than those that are fans of the sport.
I disagree, there's nothing wrong with loving a particular fighter and cheering for them, you can still be a loyal fan.

The problem is when your favorite fighter is always the recent new guy to start winning...

Here's what I mean. I've seen a ton of threads that read "Is Crocop done?", "Crocop Sucks", etc and it's all based on two fights. These morons completely ignore the fighter's past and just look at the present. Same with Couture, people are going to tell me he's #1? How the hell can people call themselves true fans of the sport and say that Couture is #1? I love Randy just as much as anyone else but we have to be realistic.

Crocop's record: 22-6
Randy's record: 16-8

But people can't see that? If Crocop won his last 2 fights and Randy lost his, how would the bandwagon look then? Let me guess "Crocop > Fedor" or "Randy is too old, he sucks"

And what happened to the Chuck Liddel bangwagon, haven't seen a thread lately about him being the best? Or what about Gonzaga, all the sudden the "Gonzaga is Fedor's biggest threat" threads are gone? What happened?

True fans support their fighter through both wins and losses, not to just go with the latest craze.
good post, and good point. there are a lot of ignorant, short-sighted people that live on sherdog, and in the whole damn world for that matter.

Great point bro. However poorly crocops last two fights have been, we all know what crocop is capable of and maybe he is just on a slump.

I for one cant believe that Randy is better than crocop overall. If Crocop bounces back he'll regain his number 2 or 3 status. I really believe that.
