I think it's a play off of Boy George, who is gay, which is why i could be offensive. while that is not the case for Seinfeld because the Boy George reference isn't been made and it is said by friends and love ones. I do agree about the French heritage thing, even though every person around the world makes fun of French Canadians, and their fictitious language.
