So I know everyone is going to skewer me for this thread but I don't care. Randy is overrated he has not beaten top competition at HW hasnt proven himself at all and was beaten twice at LHW by Liddell. He has a decision win versus Sylvia a TKO win over an immensely inexperienced Gonzaga, and a win over Randelman. Then we have losses to Barnett, Rodriguez, and Belfort. All are great competitors but I think we all should wait for a run of more than two wins before crowning him. I mean do you really think he would stand a chance against Big Nog

Couture is a MMA legend, there´s no denial on that, but I agree that he is kind of overrated at HW. He has terrible loses against Inoue, Overrem, Illoukhine, and his record is terrible. His best wins are against Liddell, which I think he is overrated too and Sylvia. He has incredible wars and is a great fighter, but Big Nog and Fedor are way better than Couture.

Randy is a legend, partly for being a pioneer. The thing about being a pioneer is most of the guys you fought didn't stick around so beating them doesn't sound like a lot. But you don't have the advantage of learning what works from a whole bunch of guys before you, either.

He didn't lose to Liddell at HW, so it doesn't really answer whether he's overrated at HW.

You can whittle it down however you like, but he knocked off the HW champ. And GG was experienced enough to knock off Cro Cop, who at the time was very feared.

Do you really think he could beat Nog? Did you really think he could beat Chuck, Tito, or Big Tim?

I don't consider Randy the GOAT, but a legend, sure. I hope he fights again, I'd pay anything to see it.
