1. Yod = from Thailand, a third world country....hence he will be hard to market. I mean, Thailand isnt even a good market for K-1, as even Buakaw himself mentioned in some interviews that the organization is not popular in Thailand.

2. Yod = not so exciting most of the time. He's the type of fighter who picks his shot, after kicking hard to gauge opponents reaction. Hopefully The Japanese people appreciate the skill level it takes as compared to throwing 5 hit combos so the final lowkick would hit. hehe

Yodsanklai for 2010.

What does K-1's popularity in Thailand have anything to do with K-1's popularity in countries that can afford it? More specifically, Japan? Nothing. This point makes no sense.

Yod is devastating and marketable imo. i think most who watched the contender would agree. I dont know why the Japanese have not put anything forward to him. or have they?

They had him fight once and that is all he has stated many times that he wants to fight in K-1. Even before he got there I actually it was before he beat JWP when he was jumping up in weight classes he said he wanted to fight there. Yod wants to fight in K-1 K-1 just doesn't want him which is a fucking shame maybe if he went around and was a dickhead they would change their minds.

Devastating yeah, marketable? His character coincides with Buakaw's (though Buakaw can be pretty cocky in the ring) and Buakaw is better looking.

Yod dyed his hair on his debut in K1 just to entertain the fight..

That's whats wrong then. Nobody expects a Masato from a Thai, he'll just end up looking like he's trying too hard. People expect hardcore guys who live to fight or fight to live. Buakaw fits that perfectly. Dying your hair to try to impress is the kind of stuff that rural wannabes do over here.
