What is the argument? Does Yod have to walk into the ring at 70kg before we get to see this fight?

I think Yod is an excellent fighter and all. But I remember last year he was going into a fight against Andy Souwer, and the majority of posters believed Yod would beat him! Here's a guy who's a multiple time Max champion with tons of experience and KO power, and people actually believe he would lose to a relative newcomer. I didn't really get that.

This is not like UFC and Fedor deal
In fact it's totally opposite, Yod wants to get in but K1 just simply didn't want him?
I don't understand why, since Japanese fighters have hard time compete with the European fighters anyway.

Does anybody got any news on Yod?
And what weight class are you referring to exactly? If your talking about the same as K-1 Max then I would have to disagree with that statement, STRONGLY. I would like to see him signed to fight in K-1 though. This should have happened a long time ago.

Masato, Souwer, Buakaw, Kyshenko to name a few would all beat him.

Many would argue that Yod won that fight.

That finish this weekend was beautiful

I wouldn't really call Yod a newcomer.. maybe to K-1 rules but he's got some serious muay thai credentials. Also that fight was extremely close (went to an extra round) and there was some controversy as well (but there usually is with matches that close and when the loser is 'visiting' from another country)

Also, as I recall, there was some kind of weight "misunderstanding" and Yod had to cut an extra chunk of weight last minute

Basically what I'm saying is that Yod is def up there in terms of skill, even K-1 rules

3 weeks notice is obviously not enough time to prep for someone like Yodsaenklai.

Did you catch 'newcomer' Buakaw spanking Masato in the 2004 final? How about newcomer Gevorg soundly beating Souwer? Sometimes k-1 experience is not everything...

Yes, that was a good fight but it didn't really prove much of who is the best in the world since the size of the gloves was really big and not much damage was done.

Yod is a great fighter, and can compete with and beat any MAX fighter of this decade.

Why his limited K1MAX exposure? Who the hell knows.
