Where is Mike Bernardo?
Where is this guy, he should be around the same age as Aerts, sefo and Lebanner. He had a similar style to that of Ray Sefo. Did he retire? any one know?

I believe he is retired due to a neck injury. Man, I love Bernardo. That guy was an awesome Kickboxer. Good hands, some nice kicks, and a lot of heart. Wish he'd come back for one more fight.

he retired about 6 months ago - he gave a speech to the crowd at one of the K-1's. He said something like "please dont forget me"

i never did like the guy...
had some good punches but never truly adapted to the leg part of the game...
strong as hell but pretty arogant (and not "good" arogant like Sefo)

Will always have the greatest K1 feud ever with Aerts- nothing will ever come close to this. Hunt/ LeBanner would be a distant second.
Unlike the others you mentioned, he started detiorating around 1999, and never really came back.

I never thought Bernardo was arrogant, he was always a nice guy. Sometimes though, he did try to hype up fights, so that could be considered arrogant.

How many times did Aerts and Bernardo fight? I remember they fought each other 4 times in a less than a year at one point. |
