Out of curiousity, what does it cost to train in The Netherlands/Holland at a quality gym? Say Vos, or Mike's gym. I know Barry made the leap over there, and I'm not sure if he makes bad financial decisions or really just could not afford it.
And is Mark Hunt not American? He was a K-1 Champ, no?

they all fall short against top competition....sefo is done, lost loads of fights and most o ko
this year's final was pure dutch domination.....4 semi finalists from the netherlands
and there is more....Hesdy Gerges and Rico Verhoeven....this little boy is 20 years old and already 6'5 and 248 pound
K-1 OFFICIAL WEBSITE | Rico Verhoeven | FIGHTERS
edit: 6 foot 5 isn't his true size, he's taller

well prime sefo would've kicked their asses, and mark hunt is only 178 cm and he won the GP.. so its not impossible man.

I don't know, the fighters that train here at mike's gym etc under guidance of their top trainers are usually fighters who already have a pro record and train there in preparation of a fight, like paul daley spends time at mike's before every UFC match. Maybe they get a % of his purse or something. If you wanna get good dutch training there are usually dutch fighters giving seminars in the US, rob kaman lives and teaches in LA and a few others have moved to those parts.

where are the Americans in K-1 ?
i wanted to make this question, but obviously no one knows the answer. Someone who wants to say that USA hasnt talents in KickBoxing is definitely retarded. How can there be NO american talents in K-1 (which is Martial Art), when they are in every Martial Art the LEADER... no one can convince me...they dominate in Boxing, they dominate in MMA, im sure they would be THE SECOND if not the first Force in KickBoxing
i think the problem is at those fucking japanese people who lead K-1, they take fighters from countries they want to. they wont go to USA, cuz they are afraid that after this sport becomes very popular there, a new BIG promotion might be born (ala UFC for Kickboxing) and K-1 (japan) should lose the attention, just like Japanese MMA lost it and UFC took the MMA crowd.
