What is Nagashima doing in MAX? What are his qualifications? The first knockdown: throwing a jab-cross-uppercut without bringing the right hand back - that is like what a guy who's been training for 6 months does. Then goes and wings wild punches without bring any of them back and get knocked down with a jab.

NJKF welterweight champ, not that the title means much since he's the first champ.
He was undefeated till he came to K-1, surprising nearly everyone by rushing with his lunging Japanese kempo punches. Beating Hayato was a huge surprise, but to tell the truth, Hayato's been broken already. He got dominated by Yuya in their fight, but the clincher was pitting him against Kraus for the ratings. That fight had the highest ratings of the night, but at the cost of pretty much shattering all his confidence alongside any chances of him actually learning how to kickbox.
His whole gig was that he surprised guys by fighting from an unusual distance, and having the recklessness to jump right into their faces. Being demolished by a fighter with good boxing and a complete understanding of what he was trying to do destroyed both of those advantages forever.
