Sato Challenges Masato for NYE
From Yoshihiro Sato's blog. And some nice guy from K-1Fans did the translation.
Quote:
I heard that Petrosyan broke his hand.
I lost to Drago on April and lost the right to be champion.
This also meant that I lost the right to fight Masato, who wished to the fight this years champion, on his last fight.
Masato's comment that he wanted to fight this years champion irritated me.
I thought that it would reduce this entire world tournament into a qualifier for Masato's challenger.
But by losing to Drago on April, I lost the right to be irritated as well.
In the fight sport, results are everything.
With my neck hanging by a skin, I won two reserve fights against strong opponents.
If you're looking at just numbers, my record this year is better than last year.
But I still have a long way to go, having lost when I needed to win most.
Last Year 5 fights, 2 wins (1KO) 3 losses
This year 4 fights, 3 wins (2KO), 1 loss
In the fight sport, results are everything.
And recent results are more important than anything.
Souwer must be hurt, and his fatigue must be great.
I think he must have taken a lot of damage from the Final against Petrosyan.
I had no right to ask for a fight.
But now with the champion Petrosyan with a broken hand and his participation in doubt.
Please let me be slightly selfish...
no, I will be selfish.
As a fan of the sport, I want to see Sato Yoshihiro vs Masato on New Years Eve.
If Petrosyan can't fight, then the only man whose match-up against Masato will be anticipated will be Sato Yoshihiro.
If a fight isn't decided within a week, I'll participate in an event scheduled in Nagoya on December 23rd. But I'm asking the producers to give me a week.
"Masato-san, I'm keeping my schedules open for New Years Eve. I want to meet you in the ring again, and put up a fight that will set our blood on fire."

I like Sato! It was not a great impression I've got when he met Buakaw the very first time, but he has slowly become one of my favorites. The way he left the ring after he KO Kido is him in a nutshell. Focused and only there to fight, nothing else.
War Sato!

Honestly. I don't even know if FEG would let that fight ever happen. I am quite sure they think mr. Sato is a ugly, skinny and uncharismatic Japanese fighter they want to spend as little as possible broadcasting time. They don't want him to represent Japan. Better sexy Masato have a fight 90% sure against Petrosyan. The Italian want this fight very much. He want to be a "legend" in his first year in MAX. To beat all 4 champions.
He will probably not fully heal his hand before the fight. It means his preparation is less and he will come in to fight not fully in shape. Perfect plan for Masato, think his male friend Tanikawa. If Petrosyan will cancel the fight, Masato will indeed meet Andy Souwer.
This I think is the sour truth.
The world could be a much better place to live in, if it wasn't for all corruption.
K1 is a prime example of a organisation so cartoonish in it's mentality it all just becomes laughable. There is no justice, only stomping on people and get away with it.
Buakaw is the King.

The only problem K-1 has is Tanikawa,. If they get rid of him I think K-1 is a better place. I really want to see petrosyan and masato meet in the ring.

Because you know Petrosyan will lose.

Nope.. I thought it would be a competitive fight. It will be a big advantage for Petrosyan coming in this fight because his a southpaw and Masato had a big problem against a thai fighter name Suriya

Sato is dramatic. Masato's blogs are so much easier to translate.

I restarted my 800 meter dashes yesterday. Today I'm so sore! Petrosyan broke his hand and maybe he won't be able to fight on NYE. I hope my opponent is decided soon.

And this is his talkative day (or should I say week since that's how often he updates). Sato posts short stories on his blog on his spare time, Kido responds to every question asked on the comment logs, Yuya posts like three pictures for every daily entry, and Nagashima... you don't want to look at his blog.

LOL @ nagashima's blog I can only guess how disturbing some of the images are.
It seems like masato uses a lot more science in his approach to his conditioning and is more obsessed with it in general than petrosyan who says he just does an hour of LSD on his own everyday.
Whoever, masato fights I just hope the outcome influences him not to retire.

The pictures posted by him I don't find so disturbing at all. Though the layout and a movie I found are somewhat.
