Sanshou match at the 10th World Wushu Championship
I just got back from the 10th World Wushu Championship in Toronto (at the Ricoh Coliseum). Overall, great stuff, specially the Sanshou fights.
I posted one in youtube, i thought you guys might want to take a look at it.
Don't know how to embed it, but here's the link.

The Canadian guy in red basically gifted that fight on a silver platter, he needs to gain more confidence, or somethin...
Looks pretty tough though, full contact, no shin guards, etc.

Yeah, he seemed nervous, maybe the pressure got to him.
And yeah, sanshou is pretty hardcore. I like the fact that takedowns are allowed, it seems like it would make a good base for mma. Hopefully as mma becomes more popular in China we'll see more sanshou fighters making the transition.

Dude what kg did you fight at? I was at the Nationals! I really wanted to compete in this event but I blew out my knee during the gold metal match. Congrats on a great experience. Those Russians are bad ass.

Oh my God man, please take that music off. Upload a version without, or at least don't make it so loud. I can't possibly watch this with that on.

Actually I didn't compete, I was just there as an spectator. It sure made me want to start training sanshou though. I've done muay thai for a while, but the throws really take things to a new level.
Sorry about your knee, I hope it's much better now.
