There are always fights there on Saturdays,they start in the afternoon at about 5.30, another fight card starts around 8.30. check first it can change.
Front row seats are only 2000 BHT but tell them you only have 1600 BHT and they will take it, it always works for me anyway.

Exactly. Take a taxi directly there and save the hassel and be sure the price includes any tolls. I'd say 1500-2000 is about right. Any less and you'll get a guy that will stop and ask for more or take you to his cousins shop for a look etc... I paid 1500THB a few weeks ago and it took about 3 hours.

Have fun and take a look around Siam station area. Check the Siam Paragon and directly across the street near the sois around the university. That's were all the college girls and businesswomen are.

I was in Bangkok last autumn and there were 2 major stadiums for muay thai. Every second day there were fights in Lumpini and the other days the fights were in another place (sry don't remember the name). Look for title fights or big names so you wont have to watch couple of 12 year old boys fighting.

Best way to get there is by taxi (green one). Won't take long time., Remember to ask the driver to put the meter on.
