Ive taken a taxi there from Pattaya..it cost me about $25 and what should have been a 2 hour drive turned into a 3 hour because of the traffic. going into BKK..When you take the train its about $5..no traffic and he can catch a tuk tuk to lumpini which is about 15 minutes away

i drive to pattaya at least once a month and its never taken 3 hours. Never more the an hour 30 min. Don't know what kind of taxis you guys ride in...

yep about 1 and a ahlf to two hours should be maximum, it is a lot quicker now than it used to be with the motorway that runs from Rama 9 road out past the new airport
