Everybody knows kaman would have wooped roufus under thai rules. So kaman would surely have wanted to fight him under thai rules roufus just didn't dare too.
And kaman did fight him under his rules so props for him

Must say you can make an arguement for Hoost being best heavyweight.... but you cant with Dekkers. You can say that Dekkers is the people's champ because he was balls to the wall. Research fighters like BOVY for styles like Dekkers. Best non Thai..... I must agree with the Messanger Danny Bille or Ivan Hippolyte. Oh and Branko Cikatic.... that motha... kicks HARD!

Roufus is and was never good at giving lowkicks and had a horrible lowkick defense, we all know that Kaman his best weapons are lowkicks. For me that fight was completly b#lsh1t.

And don't forget to tel that KAMAN WHOOPED HOOST:
Check the link below to see the fight:

Check the Highlight off Rob Kaman:

Hoost and Kamen did a few things together. They attempted to dominate all stand up striking sports with the exception of boxing. They both ventured off in other rules to go for titles.

Hoost and Kamen both held Savate titles.
Kamen actually got a full contact title too i believe but not the big one ISKA because Roufus was there. Hoost attempted and won. Hoost had a shit load of full contact fights Proving that he is good under all styles. Kamen did the same but wasn't as successfull. Pretty close though.

But comparing both careers Hoost has accomplished way more. he may have lost to Kamen. and to be honest he lost to kamen twice. But Kamen couldn't whoop most of the top dogs that hoost could.

Good post! I agree with you that Hoost has accomplished a lot more than Kaman.

Rob Kamen fought Rick Roufus twice and got his ass whooped.

Hoost fought Rick Roufus twice and knocked Rick out in the second fight.

Kiatsongrit fought Rob Kamen 3 times whooping him good in two of them.

Hoost fought Kiatsongrit and whooped him so horribly bad that i don't even think he would dream of rematching hoost.

Rob Kamen bulked up to heavyweight and got smacked down by Leuyer. Had no success at that weight in K-1 or anywhere else.

hoost bulked up to heavyweight and with the exception of Branco he whooped every top heavyweight for many years.

Compare the success in both of their careers and you will see that Hoost's shadow a cloud over kamen's big time.
That's all good, but you forgot to mention that Kaman KTFO Hoost badly. Hoost didn't "whoop every top heavyweight for many years". He was beaten many times, usually losing by brutal KO.

Hoost has a lot of great victories, but he also has a lot of great defeats. Or bad defeats. He has been brutally KTFO at least a half dozen times in his career.

thanks to all those who replied. i imagined dekkers to be a little better than has been described, i have only ever seen him lose in mma but i remember hearing bas rutten mention he was possibly the best thai boxer of all time (i dont know how valuable an opinion bas is considering he was a kickboxer who fought mma).

anyway, to say thankyou for the opinions here is one of the funniest thins i had seen in ages when i first saw it a few weeks ago; starring none other than mr perfect himself:

i dont know if you all have seen this before but if you have then watch it again cos it makes me howl every time.
