Overeem win bad for K-1?

I like Overeem, and I am a MMA fan as well as a K-1 fan, but Overeem has openly talked about how his passion is MMA, and that this K-1 thing is kind of a one shot deal. Donīt you think it would be bad for this sport if an outlaw comes in, defeats all the champions on K-1 and then leave?

I mean Alistair is a kickboxer, he has spent years and years training at GG with the best kickboxers on the planet, but still I see it as a MMA guy that comes in , clean house, go back to MMA as the guy that deafetes all K-1 fighters in a year, it will mean K-1 level is beyond MMA.

i think its about time k-1 guys get their act together and start training for fighting mma guys (in k-1 rules of course but keeping in mind the striking style of mma guys). striking in mma is alot different than in k-1 hence many a times k-1 guys find it awkward to fight mma guys.

It would mean mma is beyond k-1 cuz like u simply said before Overeem is a special mma fighter... Not some average mma fighter, and u cant base the HOLE MMA STRIKING on one guy? thats stupid. I mean, bj penn wouldnt win over petroysan just cuz overeem wins k-1, u see? its the individuals that mather...

I cant see how you can just look at him though..

Look at Kid Yamma, he has dipped into K-1 and yet his primary is MMA

Dita's number disiere is MMA, and he almost knocked out Buakaw in the frist round this year.

I think its a growing trend, and your going to see more of it to come.

Lost clearly to Remy so perhaps he has to go for another year, i hope so, he raises the quality level significant.

No worries, Overeem won't win the belt.

Dida's primary desire is MAX, he's supposedly been begging to be let in, probably cause all the non-striking aspects of his game are non-existent. KID's time in K-1 is over. The only reason why his MMA career was considered significant is because he won fame by KD'ing Masato, now he's too old and no longer explosive.

I think Sergei Kharitonov and maybe Alvarez will be the last guys to dabble in K-1, assuming that Gomi's challenge to Masato doesn't come to fruition.
