No K-1 tv deal

can someone explain to me why there is no global tv deal for live K-1....if the IFL and WCL can get tv deals surely the K-1 group can bargain ans make a worldwide deal......

thank god for live internet feeds......

how can K-1 grow without LIVE event coverage......

They must have a pile of crap for a marketing team. I'd love for that to get on TV in the States (again).

BC like Valiss said, their marketing team sucks ass.

Seriously, if they had started marketing MAX years ago I think it would have developed a strong following in the US.

they don't care about the US market as there is a lack of demand for kickboxing, thats a big reason why they have not made a strong effort to get a TV deal in the United States, and I dont think they have made a strong effort to put on good shows in the US, remember K-1's MMA card? their plans to put on MMA shows in the US? they had Brock Lesnar on the card and they didnt even do well, and hes a HUGE draw in the UFC, I don't think they know how to market to US fans at all even if they wanted to.

i'm actually kind of happy they keep K-1 out of the US spotlight. at least there's one thing that's still holy in this world and not owned by Zuffa.

They showed the 2007 K-1 World Grand Prix Finals live on Main Event in Australia and Fight Network in Canada.

I'm not sure of any other TV channels that have broadcast deals outside of Japan and Korea.

As was previously mentioned, it could be that K-1 doesn't view the U.S. market as huge for kickboxing events. It's hard to argue that point of view when you look at the fringe following competitive kickboxing and muay thai has in the U.S.

K-1 should just stick to Kickboxing and work on it's own country Japan as well as Asia.
