New to Shootboxing - Standing Subs?

Hey there, I have just checked out my first Shootboxing show and I must say that the event was very entertaining. However, the rules on allowing standing submissions are interesting but in reality, how often do standing submissions actually occur? I saw quite a few nice throws but no submissions.

I've seen standing RNCs, standing armtriangles, and standing kimuras. Guys like Goto and Shishido usually makes the most attempts. Smart opponents though just drop to their knees as that is an automatic restart.

the trick is to spin and try to do a quick armbar... but that puts your back right their in front of your opponent... where you can get suplexed.

Shoot Boxing is awesome... but with all the yakuza ties, it will be hard for it to go mainstream.
Definetly the best kickboxing event in Japan. I've see them all... All Japan Kickboxing, J-Kick, Nippon Kick, New Japan Kickboxing, R.I.S.E., IKUSA... oh ... and something called K-1

R.I.S.E. is cool... but they make everyfighter wear their "Fullcast" MMA-style shorts. Kinda odd.

Thanks for the info guys The only other Kickboxing I have seen aside from SB and K-1 is Shin Nippon (New Japan). Odd that Kozo Takeda can tear some tail up there but seems to let us down in K-1. The event I saw also had something strange.. it was Takeda and Rumina Sato if I am not mistaken (No Kick No Life Final). It started out with the standard boxing gloves on and then the ref stepped in, both guys took off the boxing gloves and grappling gloves were underneath and then the fight continued. It was billed as a 'special exibition match'. Does this mean it was a work? I know I know, the dirty W word.

exhibition matches aren't real fights and technically end in draws
