Im not entirely sure if hes a "Karate" fighter. His striking has improved immensely over the years primarily due to his extensive training with Boxing coach Howard Grant and the opportunity to spar with World Champion boxers in Montreal including Joachim Alcine and Lucien Bute.

And GSP although well-rounded in MMA is primarily a wrestler now. Since losing to Serra I dont know if hes spent more than a couple minutes standing.

+1
Totally agree with you. Kyshenko is serious business. Would like to see a rematch vs Masato; I don't think Masato would be so lucky a 2nd time.

The best Kyokushin fighters are in Grand Prix not in World Max.. Most Kyokushin fighters spent their time in World Open Karate not in k-1. Buakaw skill is insane but was defeated by Japanese kickboxing champion Masato and the K-1 world max champion today is not Buakaw who is a MT practitioner but Andy Souwer who is a shootoboxing.

k1 max is not the world best competition.....
if a karate fighter gets invited because his skill is good enough he won;t refuse it.
buakaw is good yes but he also beated masato. and that was quite painfull to see.
he lost vs souwer yes but also Ko'd souwer. And Yea andy represent Shootboxing but he barely trains the throwing thing, and is just a kickboxer.
and please don;t say he's a shootboxer because he wears those pants. his style in k1 ring is deff. dutch kickboxing.

And does karate have K-1 fighters the same level as Buakaw or Masato? No karate K-1 max champions, folks.
Lucky punch.......U must not have seen too many Masato fights then....
