This is the guy the ufc should be trying to get signed. Michael McDonald is a serious bad ass hw. Look at what he's all about........ Come on ufc sign a real heavy weight. Let him fight Mir, or Dan Christison or Pa De Pano, Silvia for starters.

Michale McDonald is a good kickboxer but MMA is differnet. He will need to learn TD defense and need some ground game. I don't think anyone in their right mind would want to stand and bang. They will try and shoot in or take him down. It would be cool to see though. I know the gym he trains at teaches Jiu Jitsu as well, I beleive...

He's a hell of a fighter, no doubt, but no one ever counts Mirko's chin among his greatest attributes either.

Tim Silvia is the ufc hv champ and he has zero ground skills other then fists a flyin. I've never seen Silvia submit anyone ever. That's why I believe McDonald would wreck havoc in the ufc as a hw. The snowman will show you if having great ground skills against Silvia is worthy of a win. Monson is the best hw ground fighter the ufc has. Other than Mir of coarse. haha

first off mcdonald is like 40..next off he is terrible at mma, he lost to machida by a forearm joke, it was hilarious, machida just put his arm on hima nd he tapped, and again hes old

Let me guess, you got excited because you saw him beat Cro Cop in kickboxing so you are thinking he would handle him in MMA.
How he would adapt to MMA is something that you will never know until he starts heavily crosstraining and has another fight.
Go watch some more MMA fights before you post some more nonsense.

Lyoto Machida made McDonald tapout with a forearm choke....all he had to do was turn his head to the side and push Lyoto's elbow away. McDonald is too old to try and start a serious MMA career.

I just checked fight finder and it says McDonald tapped out due to a guillotine choke which is oncorrect. It was a ghetto press-your-forearm-into-the-guy's-throat-till-he-quits choke.

There are better options to put in the "striker turning to MMA" folder. Carter Williams for a start. Hes already had a few MMA fights and looks like he could excel there.
