K1 Amsterdam Arena's reply to Sapp not fighting.

Simon Rutz (promotor/organisator of k1 amsterdam arena) posted this in a dutch mma forum... i will translate it.. don't fuck with me about the spelling errors..

A lot of stories floating around now about why Sapp didn't fought and i will tell the 'real' story here. It's common knowledge that Bob Sapp before a fight needs mental assistance before he enters the ring. This time no diffrent. The k1 organisation needed to fly someone in from japan to mentally support bob sapp, so that the k1 organisation would be sure Bob Sapp gets in the plain to amsterdam and fight.

Arrived in Holland i thought everything would be ok since Bob arrived in Amsterdam. On the 12th of may after the pressconference allready started for 5 minutes there was one abscent fighter: Bob Sapp. With the biggest trouble members of my team finally managed to get Bob to the pressconference to be just in time when he was announced. At the press converence he did what he always does, making show. The next day, when the fighters supposedly should be brought to the arena by bus again one abscent.. Bob Sapp. After waiting for 20 minutes the bus went without Bob Sapp.

Then my nightmare started: Sapp told the K1 that he only wanted to fight if they would end his contract right after the fight to be a free agent. Pure blackmail by Sapp. And the k1 denied his request due to contract obligations.
Once the show started i went over to see for myself and a lot of people were waiting for me. In the arena k1 told me that sapp would come over to the arena and fight.
Then this game started all over again.

Bob sapp blackmailed k1 by saying he would only fight if he would be free of his contract after the fight. I became very mad due to this insecurity cause Sapp caused me to not being able to work this event that was allready started. Sapp then told me he would fight, when i walked out of the locker room some one else was telling otherwise. This happend like 5 times that night.

K1 suspects Sapp that he wanted to get out of his contract this way by blackmail, to make the transision to another MMA company. K1 offcourse could not stand by this and wouldn't agree with Sapp. When Sapp knew he wasn't getting his contract torn up he basicly ran out of the arena.

Sapp has a multi year contract with K1 and was obligated to fight Hoost. Which consequenses this has for sapp i dont know but 1 thing for sure. I won't invite him anymore to fight in Amsterdam!!
=====================
Some bla bla about how he was happy that Peter Aerts took Sapp's place and that this was not only his (simon rutz his) nightmare but also for Hoost, being his last fight in Holland.

nothin cool about it

sapp never had any intention to fight hoost

sapp is nothing but a a loser to the fans, the sport, the promotors, to his opponent,
and a loser to the organization - responsible for taking a washed up nobody- and putting him on the map

Obviously I still want to hear Sapp's side of the argument, but personally I think all of these allegations are within reasonable boundaries of expectations from Sapp's past behavior. At any rate, Hoost was reported to be absolutely pissed that Sapp flaked out from Hoost's retirement match.
