K-1 MAX tournament format change

Previously, you would have to win 3 fights in 1 night in the Final 8 tournament to win. Looks like this year it's a Final 4, meaning only 2 fights. What do you guys think of this change? I personally think this is a better format because damage in previous fights in a Final 8 tournament is too much of a factor. However, I also get the feeling that this is at least in part, motivated by Masato's losses to Souwer and Buakaw in the finals in previous years... what do you guys think?

Masato had HUGE influence on the change, as he said he was never willing to do another 8 man tourney ever again after the previous world max finals after losing to Souwer in the finals

K-1 Max is taking away the 8 man tournament? That fucking sucks...

Masato is one of my favorite fighters but that fuckin blows...Either fight in the tournament or don't....

If he does win the K-1 officials are gonna have to put a big fucking asterix beside his name on the K-1 Trophy and Record Book....

Which is kinda funny because Masato only fights K-1 shows so he should be the freshest of them all

Good point about how masato only fights k-1, everyone else seems to have fights in other places lined up besides him. And he's the one complaining, lololol.

I think this format is much better, the finals will be more equal and exciting to watch because they are less damaged.
and ofcourse the change is due masato's losses and he wanting to stop fighting tournements. Masato= tv ratings and 30% of the poeple in the stadiums are there to watch masato fighting.
