heres the zito story as I heard it.

Van Damme, drunk and high on coke said Chuck Zito had no heart. Zito got mad and challenged him to scrap. Van Damme flexes, and as he takes off his sunglasses Zito sucker punches the shit out of him.

In no way did Zito want any part of Van Damme in a fair fight.

I remember all those Van-Damme movies back in the day, man he was bad-ass.

I always knew he came from a pretty serious MMA background because there's just no way that he had perfect fluid movement, great technique, and insane splits for no reason. It would have been too big a coincidence.

You can teach Acting a lot easier than you are able to teach MMA technique, which he had straight through his entire acting career. He was a serious martial artist before he decided to go for acting.

Fairly close. I hadnt heard the coke part, but knowing his history I dont doubt it.
Van Damme was sitting at a table and said this isnt the place for it. But it kept up so he started to take off his glasses and stand up when Zito sucker punched him.

No matter what version there is, Zito is a complete ***got. No respect for that scum.

And Van Damme is a legit kickboxer, which is old news. Retards back in the day searched for his record under "Van Damme", not his real name "Van Varenberg" and had the audacity to call it legitimate and publish it.
He was European Middleweight Champion

Chuck Zito 1 - Van Damme 0

He never was beat up by a non pro street punk, it was in fact Chuck Zito as others here posted... And the story goes...

Friday, February 6th 1998, 2:04AM

Jean-Claude Van Damme didn't exactly get his kicks in during a star-studded dustup at the Scores topless club Wednesday night. The Muscles from Brussels stopped into the East Side club with Mickey Rourke about midnight for dinner after meeting up with the actor downtown at Moomba.

Once uptown they hung out with Chuck Zito, a stunt man/actor who has appeared with Rourke and Van Damme in such flicks as "The Pope of Greenwich Village" and "Year of the Dragon."

It was "hail-fellows well met," with the three hanging out with some local beauties until the kickboxing star got up to go to the men's room, and Rourke tablehopped over to a friend.

Van Damme apparently started trash-talking Zito in the tiled sanctum, sources said. Before he'd dried his hands, a Zito confidante who overheard the diss came out and tipped Zito.

The insult?

Van Damme dared to say, "Zito has no heart."

Did we mention Zito is also president of the Hells Angels and a black belt in karate who was trained to box by his father Al La Barba, a pro middleweight? You don't say that sort of thing to a fighter, especially if he's also an actor.

After Van Damme sat back down and a young beauty got back on his lap, Zito suggested to the damsel that the two had some business to discuss and she had better leave.

"I asked him if he'd said that, and he said, `Yeah, I think you're full of s-." Zito told us. Van Damme then took off his glasses and was "gearing up to come at me," Zito says. "I just didn't give him a chance."

Apparently not. Witnesses saw Zito hit the action star with a one-two combination.

"It was a right hand and a left hook," said a source. "He went over, chair and all, boom," Zito admitted. Surprised onlookers then saw Van Damme curl up like a roly-poly bug and remain in fetal position on the floor, as Zito stood over him and urged him to get up. Rourke came running over and broke up the fight, and hurried Van Damme out of the club.

"If I weren't there," Rourke said yesterday on location for "Stand Up Tragedy," in which he plays a priest, "Chuck would have killed him."

Van Damme could not be reached. But Zito allowed him this: "The guy is pretty good with his feet. He just didn't get a chance to use them."

wang fu that story is so pro zito its practically propaganda. Hitting a guy, whos drunk and prolly high on coke, while hes taking off his glasses and standing up is straight up pussy.

Zito's a sucker punching bitch.
