LOL he is nowhere near the bests .
The only reason why he won 3 times is because of his enormous height advantage
Skillwise he is far from the best . And his dismantlement by Alexey Ignashov ( 6'5 ) and this year Badr Hari (6'6) only prove my point .
As soon as his opponents aren't 8inches ( or more ) smaller than himself he knows to do nothing .
The best example of that is the only fight where he was the smaller guy against Choi ( and the difference between Schilt vs Choi was way smaller than the one between Schilt vs anyone else ) : Did he look like a K1 legend in this fight ? Absolutely not .

Because those GP mean shit and a big part of luck is implyed to win ?
Hoost though he is one of the greatest IMO , was eleminated TWICE in the 2002 GP but still won it ... thanks to two injuries ...
He also beat Sefo pretty quickly in the semis , Sefo injuring himself blocking a low kick , and beat LeBanner because of a forearm injury too (due to Ernesto's middle , but nevertheless)
If winning a GP at the Golden Age of k1 being eliminated twice , coming back twice due to injury and winning the semi final and final both due to injury isn't a lucky run then I don't know what is !!!!!
ps : But maybe you would have known that if you didn't start watching K-1 yesterday .

If your list puts Schilt above Hoost and Aerts then your " detector " should definitely expose yourself for what you are : a fucking noob .

Hari KOed him (197cm)

Exactly and Ignashov and Hari not only KOed him , but did humiliate him in the 1st .

The only retard I see here is you, basing an entire career on 1 fight like it means something. Hoost sucks because he got humiliated by Sapp, huh? Hari sucks because an MMA fighter came into his sport and humilliated him in 1 rd, huh? And Schilt already avenged the Ignashov loss, I expect him to do the same against Hari if they meet in the finals.

LOL Schilt is not the only tall K-1 fighter, in fact he didnt became a freak show used in freak show matches, meaning Schilt has alot of skills and knows how to use his size in order for him not to be picked apart by the other great fighters.
you should by asking yourself why other big time giants aren't champions like Schilt, reason being he is up their with Aerts, Hoost, and others in knowing how to fight in a Kickboxing environment and fight good. yeah, his form looks awkward or ugly, but he has success with it.
also, is not like Hoost, Aerts, Jerome LeBanner, etc. are small little guys as well. They are big men in their own right.

Actually, that wasn't the only fight where he was the smaller guy. He had a fight against Montanha Silva (220cm) which he won by decision.
You can watch that fight here:
YouTube - Semmy Schilt vs. Monthana Silva
I don't particulary like to see Schilt fight, but I do respect his achievements. He'll never be one of my favorite fighters though.

Montanha lies about his height so much its embarrassing, he's a big guy, but obviously shorter than Schilt. He also sucks so much he makes Choi look good.

True. He also sucks at wrestling so much that he is being put to job to Sapp.

Jan "The Giant" Nortje was a larger man than Schilt and more powerful puncher than Schilt as well. Schilt was just taller than him and was knock down by Jan's powerful punches in the beginning of their fight but Schilt fought back against the larger man and won.
