Im going to Pattaya for a few days and might get one day in Bangkok (Saturday).
OK a couple of questions first...How long of a trip can i expect from Pattaya to Lumpini stadium??
Are there guarnteed to be fights there every weekend so i can just show up and watch fights? Is there a place where you can see the events listed or something of that nature?
And for those of you that have as well where's the best and most abundant places to pick up gear there? Like i said i'll have a few days in Pattaya so if you know of a few shops or places there that'd be best...

If money's not an issue, you can take a taxi straight from Pattaya to Bangkok, you can negotiate around 2000 Baht, and it's 2 or 3 hours depending on traffic.

Theres a2 hour train ride from Pattaya to Bangkok..Taking a taxi is not the best idea cause the traffic in Bangkok is effing atrocious..Usually if you go to Lumpini the have fights on the weekends or just ask the staff there..most thais speak passable english or you can just have someone translate...Best place to pick up gear would probably be t a good camp

To find gear, I bought Raja gloves and shorts at Raja Stadium, the gloves are same same as Twins (at least in my experience) but of course since you are buying them in BKK cheaper.

You can always go to a ladyboy bar at Nana. They sometimes have vicious fights. Not neccessarily overly technical but vicious in that permanent injuries can occur. You can alway fuck them for 2000 baht later too.

You're right about traffic being terrible in Bangkok, but you're missing the point. He can either take a train, then a taxi (or tuk-tuk) to get to the stadium once he's in the city, or he can just take a taxi straight there. Plus, I'm pretty sure the train station is nowhere near Lumpini.
