Fernando Calleros

I see that he's been active this year, after a long layoff. He beat Kozo in a superfight at K-1 Max Finals, and drew with Duane Ludwig at the recent K-1 Bellagio. I know he was around in the late 90's, (they've shown a couple of his old fights on ESPNC) . Does anyone know much about him? How old is he now?

Yea he has been around awhile but was listed younger than Kozo when they fought.

Here he is going off on much hyped Danny Steele.

Style is kempo. He has also fought Dekkers and Miguel Reyes.

He previously lost to Kozo back in 1998 by KO so they're 1-1 in case someone didn't know.

Oh yea also Dimitry Shakuta and I think with Steele he won 3/3 fights against him with the 3rd being on the under card of the last K-1 Mirage.

Dekkers handled him with ease.

Kamatari: How did Kozo beat him? Low kicks?

Duane smoked him. Because of an early knockdown in round 1, the fight was declared a draw. After the knockdown in round one, Duane wasted Calleros for 2 and 1/2 rounds and got a draw. Yeah, I am not exactly unbiased, so watch the fight and you tell me.

Scotty2Hotty: How can we watch the fight? Has it been aired anywhere?

I wouldn't say Bang smoked him or wasted him in rounds 2 and 3 but he dominated the workrate for sure, he just didn't land the clean power shots that Calleros tagged him with in round 1. Besides the knockdown combo Calleros also had the other best punch in the round so I wouldn't give Bang that extra 1/2 round you did. Too bad there were no extension rounds because it was the big round vs. 2 consistent good rounds.
