No trailer park idols to admire- In other words they got no Forrest Griffith, Chuck Liddel, or Stephan Bonnar.

On top of that, the only Black guy is an englishman. Do you think homeboy is gonna find any affinity with a blackman that sounds like a "noble white-man." The black guy does not speak like Rampage.

There are no hispanics. So "Vato" is gonna feel alienated by a show full of Eurotrash and Asians.

The only American guy, with a hispanic surname, appears to be a black-filipino Hawaiian. He may get the Hawaiian and Asian-American crowd, but its not enough to pull the interest of mullet man, the blackman, and the hispanic man.

The only upside is that those into MMA, regardless of ethnic background will tune in to appreciate the skill and athlethicism. Who knows, if Contender Asia may get a sequal if all goes well internationally.

With this WGA strike and SAG strike around the corner this show will be on air by June in the US

The black-filipino hawaiian guy won't last long on the show because JWP or Yodsaenklai would give him an embarrassing beat down. That pretty much takes out the only american on the show.

It can't be helped though. There aren't that many good American muay thai fighters. I would like to see a contenders show where the fighters are actually contenders that have the skills to pay the bills instead of a show with untalented boxers who think that their poor families will give them the motivation to overcome skilled fighters.

Some of these fighters can sell out arenas. JWP took BPP to extra round and Yodsaenklai is a future K-1 max'er.
