That's an interesting point and I think you may be right. I just wonder if they did it on purpose because of the reason you point out or not.

Just watched the first episode. It was excatly what I was expecting. Although, they could work on the camera angles during the fights. I actually don't mind the slow-mo parts but they use too many close up camera shots. I need more wide angle shots like in a real fight broadcast. I don't need to be able to see the fighters expression all the time.
Sucks TNT lost but that Thai was beautiful. At the end when he landed like six unanswered kicks. Very cool.
Also, Yodsanklai looked huge, the host is crazy hot and I'll definitely be watching the rest.

The only thing real about the show is what happens in the ring at the end. I can guarantee you they have a professional match maker choose the bouts while the fighters act it out like it was unscripted. Just like TUF they have ranks for the fighters and hope that it goes as planned. What messed up last season of TUF was Tommy Spears KO'd a better ranked fight only to get defeated easily in the final. Lets hope there is no flukes on this show so we can get the very best at their best.

Awesome show, poor Trevor got schooled. Lol @ the cornerman saying Naruepol shouldn't use elbows because he pities him. Trevor not a bad fighter by any means but the skill disparity was pretty huge.

With Naruepol and Yodsaenklai you have the cream of the crop, then you have an upper class with JWP, Preacher, Monkongton, Bakkouri, and after that you have a lot of names who are a class below by a pretty big distance.
The comments made by Naruepol and his trainer said it all... all these guys may have been harvesting titles in their own countries, but you can see that those titles mean nothing if you have to take on the big names with a ton of fight experience in the toughest competition.
In countries like Japan, France and Holland (why the hell isn't there a dutchman in?) there are many more fighters who can beat the guys from Canada, Scottland.
With all due respect.
And I don't mind if the competition isn't top notch, but I do think they should have made a decision before the show: or try as much as top notch fighters of a similar caliber, OR only include up and coming, talented, not big-named fighters.
The show mainly focuses on new public, but the diehard muay thai fans will watch it anyway. So it doesn;t matter a lot what choice you make.
But besides this all, still entertaining to watch and hopefully it gives muay thai a big boost to the mainstream public.

Yea, i wondered why there wasn't a Dutch fighter in the cast, i was pretty dissappointed .
