Yes, I agree.. The show was well put together.. I think that because of the Thai culture, the show has a certian Air, or respect about it.. The non Thai fighters really respect the Thai guys, and i think there is also mutual respect back..
I think that its FKn SWEET that Parr is involved like he is (i wont spoil it for others) BUT!!! i do think this will be his down fall!!! he will waste TO MUCH ENERGY putting into what they have done with him.. IMO
(sorry, but im trying not to spoil for those who have not seen)

It's a cool show though my only point of criticism is that the field isn't too balanced...
With Naruepol and Yodsaenklai you have the cream of the crop, then you have an upper class with JWP, Preacher, Monkongton, Bakkouri, and after that you have a lot of names who are a class below by a pretty big distance.
The comments made by Naruepol and his trainer said it all... all these guys may have been harvesting titles in their own countries, but you can see that those titles mean nothing if you have to take on the big names with a ton of fight experience in the toughest competition.
In countries like Japan, France and Holland (why the hell isn't there a dutchman in?) there are many more fighters who can beat the guys from Canada, Scottland.
With all due respect.
And I don't mind if the competition isn't top notch, but I do think they should have made a decision before the show: or try as much as top notch fighters of a similar caliber, OR only include up and coming, talented, not big-named fighters.
The show mainly focuses on new public, but the diehard muay thai fans will watch it anyway. So it doesn;t matter a lot what choice you make.
But besides this all, still entertaining to watch and hopefully it gives muay thai a big boost to the mainstream public.

I think though, the writers are hoping for some massive story, of one of the lower guys, over comming all odds, to defeat yaddh yeddh yaddh... but i dont think the researched there backgrounds as much as they should of.

Remember its a tv show first. They need a set of lopsided matches so new viewers can clearly see what skill looks like. If it were competitive off of the bat it would appear boring to the uneducated. Once the 8 weaker fighters are knocked off in entertaining ass whoopings the viewers will understand the sport when the fighters are more evenly matched.
