"Forty six years young in two thousand and eight—Jom “The Jedi” Bing reinvented the fountain of youth at Ocean city in Auckland, to an orgasmic euphoria of the crowd: rising to their feet as he cleaned up Dominic Zidov, a supposed Contender of sorts with devastating ease.
Zidov for some strange and very wrong reason thought his chin was stainless steel, attempting to keep his hands down and take shots from a south paw power house who obliged by delivering a fistful of leather which slouched him to the canvas for good. It was high light reel stuff and riveting drama as one of the scariest men to step in the ring detonated the chin of his opponent nearly half his age. Sort of like Randy Couture defeating Gabriel Gonzaga in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), except this was no UFC but PLP (Piak Lee Gar Promotion) in Auckland."
"Main Event:
Jom Bing (CLG) WON R1 KO Vs Dominic Zidov (Samui Gym)
This wasn’t going to be a walk over for anyone: especially for Jom Bing making a return after a lengthy lay off. Zidov who fought in the recent Contender-Asia series was more than a worthy opponent. Jom Bing was sporting a garland of twenty dollar bills looked his usual scary self. The punters were in full voice and it was time to rumble! Money man Jom Bing the “Jedi” was in the house- we all knew it!!!
The “Jedi” performed a beautiful Ram Muay and Zidov knew he had his hands full! The challenge was laid and accepted- at a youthful 46 it was hard to find a man in better shape!
Round One:
Zidov throws a body kick and gets hit with a low blow but brushes it off. Both men trade body kicks- the south paw Bing goes hard with his punches and finds the mark. Zidov counters but is susceptible to the big overhand left. He gets hit several times and Bing takes the round. Zidov seems to keep his chin up and draw attention. It is unusual for a fighter with his experience to defend with his head and take shots to the chin.
Round Two:
The fight comes to life as Bing rattle guns his left hook a near eighteen times before Zidov goes down for good- a delayed reaction and probably the stupidest way anyone has ever defended punches! Bing is the man and he is back!!!!
Dominic Zidov tried to prove to New Zealand that he could fend off Jom Bing and his punches with his head, chin and temple. How wrong was he- eventually helped off the canvas and the crowd went fire crackers for their hero, probably because he was the money man. Excellent way to end the night!!!"
Poor Zidov :< Keep your hands up :O
