He missed the knock down by knee, but how does that affect the fight? It was a 10-8 round anyway.If you are referring to which direction Carnage walked after his 8 count, he walked on the wrong side of the ref, then turned around to resume fighting. Don't see that affecting the fight either.

It was a good fight, Spong is fricken awesome. He dismissed Carnage as a fighter and got caught. Hopefully he learned his lesson and will be better for it. At this level he should always assume that there is some reason that the man he is fighting holds World Titles. Just cos the productions are small and the paydays less than Europe doesn't mean that Aussie fighters are lesser than Europeans.
The KO should still stand, and Carnage not being declared winner does not diminish his KO or validate Spongs cockiness in any way. Lets all get over it, both Spong and Carnage know who was put to sleep.

I don't see how anyone can say that Spong only used his knees. At what point did he stop throwing leather? I watched twice to see if I could tell where he broke his hand, he was freely throwing both left and right through the whole fight. Either he is very tough, or the hand injury is less than his self diagnosis. I couldn't see where it affected him, and from what i could see he didn't mention it in his corner or show any discomfort between rounds (though i do not speak Dutch so who knows?).
Let's see if he makes it to his next fight.

ya ya, Spong got Ko'd but it was a damm fine match.Spong took the first and the
second round. Landing bombs and all kind of stuff. Then got caught in thrird while throwing a knee.imo if spong did not broke his hand, he could have taken the dec win.
Both fighters are good but spong was caught that night by a nice hook.

P.s Spong is not my man. I always questioned if he could hang with the heavy's and was against him moving up in weight.

He missed a down in the first round and in the second, when carnage went down, and the ref asked him to come but Carnage did not respond and went to his corner.If this happened to another ref like a ref from k1, The fight is OVER.

but hey this does not mean that 1fault in favor of spong and 1 fault in favor of carnage means a NC. After looking good, I saw that Carnage was focusing only on Spong and might have only seen 1 arm of the ref, thinking he can attack.

I'm 100% sure the wmc will overturn the nc to a TKO win.

With the down where Carnage took a knee, it is up to the ref to decide if a fighter is fit to coninue. The ref clearly thought Carnage was fine and ready to continue( which he was) so it was a commonsense decision( there would of been more outrage if he did stop the fight then). So i do not see this as a mistake, infact i think it was the opposite good refing, people dont want fights to end if someone walks or turns the wrong way.
