Ref did the wrong thing he did not do his duty. He moved away and then waved horizontaly.
We all know Kaminoko is jus looking for excuse's because Spong lost.
Nobody is sayin what Carnage did was fine but it is def not justified a No Contest
Carnage KO'd Spong and he is getting robbed of a victory but atleast we know who is the best Crusierweight fighter in the world now.

so even you accept that Corbett won the fight (as in, it was over for Spong)?

Why would Carnage do something stupid like attacking Spong after he WON the fight and the ref ended it? Obviously it looked from his view that the ref restarted the fight, there was no reason for Corbett do to that otherwise.

Carnage doesn't take his eyes off of Spong look at the video again. The stupid ass ref stepped to the side to wave it off Carnage thought the fight was still going and jumped on Spong.

Agreed totally. You can see in the replay that Carnage is just "getting on with business". It was no young "Kid" Yamamoto bad blood beat-down or anything. Total fault rests on the referee, who had his back to Corbett, and waved the fight off with his hands low.

In my mind Nathan won that fight, Spong failed to meet the (long) count. I wonder if the Corbett camp is going to appeal? Even Stephan Fox agreed that the result should stand, and he's the Vice-Prez of the WMC council.

Yeah mate he is appealing and is very angry about the outcome, aswell as losing his KO bonus.

Glad to hear it! He deserves the strap, not to mention the bonus. I was watching the event with my bro, and we went absolutely ballistic when Spong was dropped. We were both pretty pissed with the bs that followed, so I can't even begin to imagine how Corbett feels.

looking for what? dude broke his hand ,used his knee's and got Ko'd. Ofcourse spong lost lol. But the facts are that the refferee failed twice in the second round and he should have protected Spong better.But it was not only the fault of the ref, but also a fault of carnage.
