Melchor Menor was on National Geographic's 'fight science' this year(August 20th). A MUST SEE! if you've not seen. They might replay it, so keep watching National Geography.

He is good, but they couldve gotten a better muay thai representative.

He was unusually tall for a Thai/weight.

A lot of people don't know Coban/Dekkers actually had 5 fights. I didn't either until about a year ago. I have all 5 fights on dvd.

I really wish I knew how to post vids so I can share with the MT community but don't know how. I've got a lot of great, antique stuff but can't seem to figure out how to post vids. I'll summarize the fights though.

1) Fought in Europe. Coban TKO win. Left hook.
2) Thailand. Dekkers beats the shit out of Coban. Coban was very tough and determined not to go down but Dekkers was clean and crisp.
3) Thailand. Coban wins UD. Good fight. Fair judgement. Coban was controlling most of the fight though he was hesitate to engage because I believe he tasted Dekkers' hands.
4) Europe. Boringest fight ever!!!! No action from Coban. Slips/falls due to a few punches. Dekkers wins. Fair and square. Coban did claim to throw the fight. He showed no heart or desire to win whatsoever.

5) This one, I'm not sure where between the 4 fights above, when it took place. This was for an international MT belt. Coban won. Close fight but UD was fair. Fighters didn't come in wearing the trunks of their choice in relation to red/blue corner. They both wore the same pre-determined trunks, same design, only the colors differed. I think it was some sort of advertisement the promoters wanted to showcase on both the trunks.

There you have it.

Well, I know Ramon and he told me he fought him 4 times. Maybe he forgot about the last one, not a strange thing after 220 fights, but I'm pretty sure that he fought him 4 times. Maybe it was a demo fight or you're mistaking the fighter in that last fight for Coban??? I'll ask him today and Iwill tell you what he said.

Ask him and tell us. Cool you know him. It was Coban. Hard to miss Coban with his big head and stout, compact body. I even went back and made sure all 5 fights were Coban/Dekkers.

I saw only 3 of the Coban/Dekkers fights. Didn't one of the fights have the fighters wearing shoes of some sort?
