Because its on tape delay, some shows, like a few PRIDE events I know added the US commentary after the event too.
No , Schiavello and Kogan were there live. I just watched it and it was funny how Kogan was already assuming Buakaw won the fight in the middle of it saying "Buakaw is gonna have plenty of time to recover for the final".

Schiavello is the man!

GREAT commentary on MAX, he calls it as he SEES it and doesnt toe any company line like a Goldberg in UFC. If it is a terrible decision The Voice SAYS it is a terrible decision. He gave the judges a serve for the Souwer-Buakaw decision. GOOD ON HIM for letting loose on the crap judging even though he is employed by FEG. To me that shows a man who is professional and dedicated to the sport and how it is portrayed.

As for nuthugging Petrosyan, are you serious? Petrosyan is freakin awesome. Schiavello had every right to praise him as much as he did he toyed with Souwer like The Voice said made it look like a sparring session.
Schiavello is a genius in everything he calls. His knowledge is second to none and he is the only TRUE play by play caller in the world. Nobody comes close.

Now i am no expert on sports commentary but should'nt the commentators be objective towards the fighters?

Because if they dislike a fighter and show that in their commentary then sometimes it may take away from whats really goin on in the ring and more how the commentator would like it to be.

Anyways i am sure before becomin a commentator they must of take same commentating courses. No?

I think Schiavello is great on hyping the fight, doing great stuff for k-1, like saying that overeem is NOT new to k-1 and so on, that is good.
But maybe he should stop with the fighter bashing.

I like Mike, he is passionate and knowledgeable about the sport and he makes fights that much more exciting.

However sometimes i think he needs to be a bit less critical of fighters, especially in cases where fighters are outmatched. All the fighters make many sacrifices to fight for our entertainment and enjoyment and criticizing them or making fun of them is hurtful, especially when i know some of them and i know that they watch their fights after and have to hear that.
