Guess antuan has been training for a k-1 rules fight, here's some footage:
Looks OK, i suppose....not a big fan of k-1 rules, but at the same time it isn't simply taking muay thai and adding more punches and removing clinch knees and elbows.
The boxing training he's doing looks so linear anf doesn't seem very dynamic , he gotta use the boxy boxy footwork and angles lateral movement and slip and slide around.
I'm interested to see how he does under k-1 rules.
I love Antuan too, i think his brother victor will surpass him when he reaches Antuans age, very skilled kid.
I just think that he's gonna need to throw way more punches to make a good scoring in K-1 rules, you gotta throw and land a certain Amount of punches regardless of power and effectiveness to keep the score up, sort of like boxing, but the only difference is you only have 3 rounds to do it which makes the pace much more intense.....either that or you come out trying to KO your opponent, it's not like MT where punches that don't cause a knockdown aren't scored and you can go the whole fight just throwing a few punches and scoring with well placed knees and kicks, then maybe using punches when you've hurt or need to KO your opponent.
