I got thrown with that one tonight.

Randori, BB judoka telegraphs a harai goshi almost telling me "yeah wrassler I know u cant resist." he was right I went for the belly to back position ducking under the high arm, only my right arm was stuck...WTF.... and next thing I know the guy throws me and lands squarely on my ribs.."damn wrestler" I am sure he thought.



They had their hands full in newaza though. Its like riding a bike, I had good base, but the little details I have forgotten so on top I was good on bottom I was terrible. The gi might have had something to do with it...

For my first year in Judo whenever my coach would refer to me to his colleges he would always include "my wrestler, Tom" or "Tom, a former wrestler". After the last 2 tournements though, he stopped. Moving up in the Judo world I am But yeah, my team hates doing the newaza with me as well, they catch me with the occasional choke or armbar, but I don't get pinned, and when I lock in Kesa, they tap pretty quick.
