A job where he tells people what to do and has health benefits is probably better than having the IRS watch your every expendature.

Halloween Havoc 89 was pretty good. Probably Luger's best career effort in a U.S. title match with Brian Pillman.
Hot six man with the Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette and Dr. Death vs. The Samoan Swat Team.
Good little match with Tom Zenk vs. Mike Rotunda.
Freebirds vs. Dynamic Dudes was alright.
Road Warriors vs. Skyscrapers was a fun power match.
Main event was good solely for the heel team and Bruno as ref.

It's a joke. I loved his "Dick Flair" comments. So simple, but made me laugh. I think it's pretty shitty that he didn't get better treatment in the major organizations.

Well in the WWF it was pretty obvious why (read The Clique), but in WCW he just made the wrong friends and got abandoned by them.

There's a bunch unavailable and unfortunately that one isn't uploaded. Only Havoc 91, 93, and 94.
I heard Dick Flair carried Luger to his best match for like an hour at some PPV. I wonder how Luger was able to maintain a top spot wherever he went, when it appears that everybody ragged on the guy's workrate. Bam Bam was saying how shocked he was that Luger had an athletic background, since he was so unathletic. I've never heard anyone say he could work

I believe you're talking about Capitol Combat 90.
They had a half hour/40 minute cage match. I never saw what was that great about it.
That PPV did have an awesome tag match between Pillman/Zenk and the Midnight Express.
Oh and Robocop.

Of course I'm a bit of a traditionalist, so maybe I'm in the minority.

i dont mind the ring at all...it makes for some innovative spots off the ropes and helps to distinguish TNA from the E
