I'de say both are good, but Judo training with a gee has it's limits obviously. I am going to start my son in Judo in a couple years and as he gets older, let him start wrestling. He's going to be a force.

Kudos. Why would you send him to wrestling after judo though? The only thing he will have going for him in wrestling is the takedown. His judo ground will not be able to save him in wrestling due to the 'game' down there being so different.
If for mma, then after judo you can send him right to that. Although he may want to go Olys in judo.

checkmate... your hl video doesnt even prove YOUR point. all your hl video shows are slams. slams arent the same thing as takedowns if you think a double leg takedown is more rattling than a judo throw you will be in for one hell of a surprise when you fight a good judo man
there is a lot of diverse takedowns in judo that aren't found in wrestling. judo is awesome for takedowns. dont disagree. you know its true..nub

Good explanation, but don't forget that Judo is a form of jiu-jitsu.

In Olympic Judo, how often do people win with armbars, chokes, etc.? There may not be any chokes or joint locks in wrestling but that doesnt mean that wrestler doesnt practice or know how to do those finishing techniques....
Wrestling is almost Judo without the Gi. Except, the Gi and the rules of Judo, encourage you to be in a more upright stance. This allows you to use you hip(and feet and legs) to throw your opponent. When in Gi, hip throws, spring hipthrows(uchimatas, harai goshis, etc.) are much easier since you have much more "tie up" or clinch options than you do without a Gi.
In Wrestling, your tie up options are limited. Thus making, throws that use your hip and legs(to off balance your opponent) much more uncommon. In wrestling there is throws that dont use your hip unlike Judo. Suplexes, lateral drops, bodylocks, headlock rolls, trips, firemans carries, lifting double legs, etc. , are all throws too, that are more suited for MMA.
I could go on and on, but i dont really like these Wrestling VS Judo debates. Its the fighter, not the style. It comes down to who has been training for longer, who trains harder, who is more athletic, more techinical, smarter, better competitor. There's alot of things to factor in that are unique to each individual.
IMO though, Judo is a more Well-rounded grappling art than Wrestling. Judo is part stand up throwing(tachi-waza) and ground grappling(Ne-waza or BJJ, same thing). BUT, Wrestling is a more one dimentional style thats makes you more proficient at takedowns and throws(no-gi), and control than Judo does. So when you combine BJJ with Wrestling, THEN, you have a well-rounded grappling art. Then add Judo to that, and its even better.

Jiu Jitsu is the Brazilian way of spelling, JuJutsu. Despite common misconceptions, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, is NOT a derivative of Japanese JuJutsu. BJJ is a form or derivative of Judo. BJJ is the refinement of Judo's ground phase called Ne-waza.
