I disagree. I don't remember saying I have no close friends, as that is not true. After my grandparents died, I was left with my wife and an old coworker I email almost everyday. Other than them, I don't have anyone else much that I'm close to. That's just how it is. It doesn't have anything to do with people not likely me.

stfu you don't even fucking know what that means. For those that completed a masters /w thesis in a related area on a relevant subject, it is possible to shorten the length of the required 2 year minimum research time for the PhD. If you researched for a year writing your thesis and you apply and get accepted as a PhD student, the minimum time for a dissertation on the same topic could be shortened by a year.
