It's not true at all. Anyone can go to college if they want. I just borrowed money earlier this year and the wife and I enrolled and didn't spend a dime of our money. How could that be?? OMG

Not everyone can go to college for a number of reasons. Some people are working 2 jobs just to support themselves, where are they suppossed to find the time to go to school working 2 jobs? Some people dont qualify for financial aid, some dont have a good enough credit rating to get money through a private lender.

Alot of people simply dont want to go into ridiculous, fucking massive debt simply to go to school, despite being intelligent enough, competent enough, and diligent enough. Why are you being purposely obtuse other than to troll?

There are even stats that show that , generally, not absolutley, but generally most people who go to school and graduate are generally rich or richer.

Not everyone was born with a silver spoon like Lubes.

If you are too poor to attend, you get financial aid. I got $20k in aid and government loans. I didn't work and neither did my wife. Plus we have a baby. I also was eligible to borrow tens of thousands each year privately, but that wasn't even needed. The money is available to fund education to anyone that will take it.

Not entirely true. You have to qualify for it based upon a number of factors, you dont just send in a Fafsa, then the government cuts you a check, or says just show up to scvhool we'll pay for it! It depends upon when you apply as well as a number of other things. If you live with your parents, they are required by law to take your parents income into account, even if your parents swear to not pay a cent of it. Thus, you could end up with little or no aid even if your parents dont help you at all.

Nowadays, financial aid has taken a huge cut, which is why people have to take out private loans in addition to anything they get from the government.

Theres no guarantee on that. You think someone who goes in debt 80k to become a teacher will make it back in a few years?

No thats not what I meant. The stats show that the overwhelming majority of people on college campuses, especially ranked ones are their not because of their scholastic aptitude but becasue their parents financial background helped them get there.
