I read an article about this not long ago, so I'll share what I found. Fame pulls me, but it also seems to pull everyone else. It's a primitive desire in all of us. Fame brings you money. Fame brings you reproductive opportunities. Famous men get more women. Maybe I shouldn't have been, but I was very surprised by how many people pick fame over everything else. The article I spoke of mentioned several studies. One was from Harvard where monkeys chose the presence of 'famous' monkeys, stronger leaders of the pack, over food. The same pull exists in all of us. It's the reason people will make a fool of themselves to get their video viewed on Youtube or land a 10 second spot on TV. The drive for fame is so strong it even drives some people to confess to crimes they did not commit. Last year John Mark Karr confessed that he killed child beauty queen Jon Benet Ramsey. DNA evidence later proved that to be false. This is not a unusually happening. Minutes after OJ Simpson's wife was discovered, hundreds called in admitting to the murder. I enjoy positive attention, sometimes even seek it, but that is the norm.

I do not. Months ago, people said everything I said was lies. I took a few minutes to upload some pics and proof of what I claimed. Do you think they apologized to me? No, I posted because everyone said I was a liar and I let it get to me. The whole forum didn't believe anything I said. I only wanted credibility. I've proven myself to most people. If they still don't want to believe something I say, then whatever. I'm not going to worry about it right now. I > you. I know this. You know this. And I would hope most forum posters that have been around very long would know this. If you want to lie to yourself, there's nothing I can do about it.
