Your thoughts on Crappy Contract deals???
First and foremost, I think crappy contracts is what prevents most excellent MMA fights from ever occuring. I feel If you have a 5 year contract lets say with the UFC, either a. you're with them for 5 years or have 20 fights or something.... minimum, you should be free to fight where ever you want! as long as you honor your original contract... but too many times contracts are not like that. If Pride asked Tim Slyvia to fight Fedor and he had to decline because the UFC said "no no" there is something wrong with that. The UFC should have ZERO say in the matter as long as Tim honor's his UFC obligations.. (i.e. you fight on such and such a date,) I know most fighters have busy schedules so it would be hard to pencil in a 3rd party fight outside of their original contract... BUT, If price the was right, If Pride was to offer Tim something like 1 million to fight Fedor(I know for a fact Tim vs Fedor would fill seats! at home and at the arena!)... lol, I would of pushed everything aside to fight him, even if i did lose. There will be no belt on the line, the only thing on the line is, "who is the better Heavyweight Champion" Or maybe they can use the term, "undisputed heavyweight champion" a little more appropriately. Your thoughts???

I just feel that the organization that binds you to this contract.. is that they own your soul....for example, Diego has a crappy low paying contract with the UFC, but he's honoring it.... sure, the UFC's new policy is that you cant get any other sponsorship other than xyience... (or a sponsor they appoint you to) But lets say Diego was hurting for some cash, and the WFA wanted to sign him for a one fight deal for a good sum of money?.. shouldnt Diego be able to compete AND at the same time honor his UFC contract?.... Zuffa goons and Dana are evil.

So what happens when someone fights in another promotion and gets injured and can no longer honor the original contract with the first promotion? No one is forcing these fighters to sign contracts. Get that through your thick head. Fighters sign contracts because they want to, not because someone is forcing them.

as a fan, you should give a fuck... I guess you enjoy watching lackluster competition and watching the same fighters fight each other, over and over and over and over again...

Um, wtf are you talking about?... fighters get injured in TRAINING dingus... *cough cough* GSP *cough* It should be up to the fighter! These contracts being signed are "We own your soul" type of contracts....Hence, why contracts usually have to be disputed and go to court and do the legal thing to get out of, basically "renegotiating of contracts" HAPPENS all the fuckin time! cus the contracts being presented are too fucking restricted!

Have you ever taken a time to think... and actually realize how much competition the UFC is scaring away due to these bogus contracts???.... think about it. Only a bum would sign a UFC contract only guarenting 10k a year for 4 years... cus even if they lose all their fights, they still get PAID! lol...

GSP was training for a fight for the UFC, the company he works for. How angry would the UFC be if he was training for a TKO fight and got injured when they have something big for him lined up?
Again I will ask: Who forces the fighters to sign the contracts? Was Diego forced to sign the contract to be on TUF 1? Fighters are the ones to be blamed because they are not holding out for what they are worth. They are the ones that agree to it. Let them bitch about it and not you.
