Y thread about MMA news moved to Wasteland?

I created a thread about how "Kid" is taking a leave from MMA to train for the olympics and fo some reason it was moved to wasteland. Just wondering why that is wastlenad material.
I included a source

http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/...=2426&zoneid=2

I dunno about your problem, but about the whole Kid thing, I just don't get it.

He's on top of his game right now in MMA and has a chance to become a goddamn legend in the sport. Hes making great cash with K-1 and he's about to give it all up so he can train for the Olympics were he won't make money and they're not even till another 2 years. He's about to give up 3 years of his prime for this. IMO he should stay in MMA and keep KTFO out of fools.

The olympics is about pride not money... That is why hes giving up his "prime" to possibly win the olympics...

Even so, like I said he's on top of his game right now in MMA. Think of this scenario, he busts his ass training for the Olympics. Doesn't even place for bronze gets zero dough and wasted 3 years of his prime. Comes back to MMA and is no longer the fighter he was when he left.

I just don't see why he would leave when he's the top dog right now. It would be like Fedor relinquiching his Pride belt to go do Sambo in the Olympics, if they even had it.

But mainly I'm just pissed that I won't be able to watch Kid till after 2008.

Damn, I didn't know he'd be gone for three years.

well, for those who live in japan, we can see him wrestle at the emperor's cup next year, when according to the article, he'll be making his bid to qualify for the beijing olympics. kid has always been a wrestler, his 2 sisters are/were world class wrestlers, and so was his father, who unfortunatelly never had a chance to win an olympic medal, that's why kid wants it so bad, for himself and also for his father.
as for your thread, some mods don't even know when they're hungry, let alone how to moderate a forum.

Does anyone know how good the Japan Olympic wrestling team is?

The only thing I could find on them was some Wold Cup tournament in May where it look liked they dominated the Canadien team. http://www.olympic.org/uk/news/sport...k.asp?id=91213

How much of a chance do you think he has at placing?

the women's team is by far the best in the world. the men's lag behind, but they've been putting a lot of effort into it, and with kid's addition, if anything, they'll get a lot of more interest from the japanese public.
