That's just my opinion.
When all those losses are to top 5 fighters, what should it matter?... Nogueira behind fedor is the number 1 HW

Since he only has four losses, avenged two of them and the other two were at the hands of Fedor good luck naming five people. Maybe I should have specified I was talking about people he has fought.

Aurellio (he did it once, well I think twice ;)
Nate Diaz (I would give edge to Gomi since Diaz is a slow starter)
Kenny Florian (close fight, Gomi better on feet, Kenny has good chin and can win it on the ground)
Gamburyan (stylistically he has a good shot, Gomi is a beter fighter, but styles make fights)
Tyson Griffin (I think he would beat Gomi with pressure and gnp)
Guida (close one, don't know who would win)
Maynard (styles makes fights, Gray takes Gomi out)
Pellegrino (I say Gomi wins but Kurt could definitely get Gomi down and win via sub)
Penn (by whatever BJ wants)
Sherk (Gomi could catch Sherk with a big shot, this is his only slim hope)
Stevenson (I think Joe takes this, he is to slick on the ground)

There are others who I think would be tough on Gomi but those are the ones with the best shot of beating him.
All your points are valid except the one highlited in red. Gomi would run a train on his ass. The only chance he gets is if the judges help him out if it goes to a decision. He can't win without them. Tavares, Tibau and Guida all beat him.

I think Penn and JZ are solid 2-3. but no one in the LW division has done half the things Gomi has.
The man speaks the truth.

To call Gomi worse than Serra and two guys that he's beaten in Kawajiri and Ishida is ridiculous. BJ may be the most talented LW and JZ isn't far behind but Gomi definitely has the best resume in the weight class
