will Zuffa make Pride test for steroids?

I was just curious to know what you sherdoggers think about Pride and there no testing policy...Do u think that Zuffa will enable mandatory drug testing to their athletes? If so, which Pride fighters would test positive? Thoughts?

Well if Ratner has his way and he makes knees to the head on the ground illegal he is 100% going to want to make Zuffa test fighters for banned substances. While I agree with testing I cant say the same about the knees on the ground.

No... I'm pretty sure that the former Pride fighters will still be allowed to juice. The rule will only apply to existing UFC fighters at the time of the merger.

Pride is dead, bud.

Zuffa can't get television rights for Pride, Japan doesn't care to see UFC, and America doesn't care to see Pride.

Unfortunately, Pride is dead. Dana said Pride is history and that they had every intention of making it work. Who honestly believes that? They just bought it to dissolve it.

But the question about Pride fighters being tested would fall into 2 catagories.

If fighting in Japan, then no.
If fighting in America, then yes.

The source of the drug testing is the state athletic commisions, not Zuffa. There are some states that are still lax on testing such as texas I think, who recently didn't test UFC fighters.

So, Zffa doesn't control this, and over seas fights have different ideas about juicing...they don't seem to mind.

No one. Unlike UFC fighters, Pride fighters arent roiders and cheaters.

For political reasons; yes

For actual effectiveness in catching people who juice; no.
