Will Yuji Shimada referee UFC 144?
I don't know if it's been addressed, but will the UFC employ any of the prominent Japanese officials for this weekend?
I know Shimada has a refereeing license in Nevada.

Doubt it. They'll prolly just bring over their usual refs and have one or two random Japanese refs. I hope they have that one Japanese ref, I dunno his name but if I see him I'm gonna be like "hey!" lol.
Besides, Japanese fans don't like Yuji for shit! He's one of the few people they booed regularly when they would introduce him during the introducing ceremonies for all the officials.

It would be weird to hear him explain to the fighters in his broken English UFC rules.
PRIDE was funny sometimes. I forget which fight it was but it was two Japanese fighters (Yoshida/Tamura I think) and Yuji continued to give the instructions to both fighters in English. I think even the commentators kinda mentioned it as a joke. lollerskates

Rewatch CC/Yoshida to see how great he is. Even Cro Cop was like "WTF!" Yoshida just laid down and was like "I'm done, gonna just chill" and Yuji was like "FIGHT!"
