Why UFC didn't show the Jeff Monson Fight?

Why didn't they show that fight? Did they not want to showcase Monson? Who is now i guess the next in line to get a title shot? Do you think it would have been good to show that fight to people that don't know much about him so they could at least have something to market for the next Tim Sylvia fight? or do they plan on throwing him up on an UFN live fighting a TUF runner-up? to gain some marketability? Looking at the end result of the last Monson fight it looks like it would have been better to see his fight rather than Frank (I'm fat and gassed) Mir. Maybe the UFC thinks the SNOWMAN will melt in July and are saving him for the winter? your thoughts?

All I know is that I heard his fight was exciting. Which was a total 180 from the rest of the televised card.

actually if they would have cut 6 1/2 minutes of bullshit out of the rest of the production they could have shown both heavyweight fights that we missed in their entirety...

Monson is now the #1 contender. They are idiots for not showing the monson fight. However thats how marketing goes. More people know Joe and both Josh's then Monson so they would pay more to see them.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit odd they didnt show the Monson fight. Then again, after Monson's last fight I could have sworn he declined an opportunity at fighting Sylvia three days ago for the belt. That's what someone posted on Sherdog anyways.

Yeah, I don't understand why they waste so much time hyping up the fights during the broadcast. Obviously if you are watching it, then you have already paid for it. Show more fights!

I think they fully expected to have time and then AA/Sylvia happened. Had that fight gone like everyone thought i.e. not lasting past the first round like the first two, they would have shown almost all the undercard fights, as it worked out it didn't happen that way (and yes I realize Tito/Ken had to have been shorter than they thought, but combined I doubt anyone thought they would have over 5 rounds).
