Why not try upper body takedowns

Why didnt sobrar try upper body takedowns? I would think it would less risky to clinch and try that.

he's even better at defending upper body, Randy couldn't get anything going there and that's his specialty, he only managed to get a takedown when he went for legs and it goes without saying that Rany's Greco is better than Sobrals.
