Is it really that hard to figure out or is this a not so clever little protest?

Don't forget, this fight ain't going three rounds.
Expect a finish in the first round.

Maia vs Marquardt should be the co main event.

I agree with you, but I am looking forward to that fight because I love seeing Keith Jardine get KO'd. I've been saying for awhile that I think that Keith Jardine has peaked and is working toward the end of his days in the UFC. I've never been a Jardine fan. I can't be sold on the virtues of the "herkey-jerkey fighting style."

Thiago last is name is Silva.UFC is hoping people don't realize it is not Anderson and Wanderlei fighting Jardine.

Actually reason is that jardine was on TUF and has more name recognition than Marq/Maia

Jardine just took a fight with Rampage on real short notice, while putting on a great fight. I wouldnt be surprised if this was some sort of reward for Jardine, because the fight itself isnt as important as Maia/Nate.

Seriously, who cares what is put on as main and co-main event as long as the good fights are televised? The main and co-main are put on the poster to bring in buys, of course they are going to use the more recognizable fighters.

maia vs marquardt is a huge fight and both title contenders. I agree this should be the co main event, but still as long as it happens and we get to see it who cares.

Marquardt had hard losses and serious wins, but so is Jardine. Jardine won against Griffin and Liddell - top comp. Had losses against Wanderlei, Rampage (very hard fought decision).

That's all pretty close. Close enough to consider both events equal.
omg! your so wrong! wins over Ryan Jensen, Ed Herman, Jmac, Nate Quarry, and Chael Sonnen is way more impressive than wins over James Irvin, Tomaz Drwal, Houston Alexander and Antonio Mendes. Marquardt has only had one tough loss, thats to Anderson. While Jardine was brutally knocked out by both Wandy and Houston Alexander of all people! When will you admit than Maia/Marquardt is more deserving for Co main event?!!
