Why is Jardine/Silva co main eventing over Maia/Marquardt

its not that I don't know why thats the co main event. I just wanted to get other peoples opinion on the situation

Maybe they feel Jardine's fight will generate more interest? I'd rather see the Maia fight as the Co-Main Event, but I guess not.

Silva hasn't beaten any contender , but Maia hasn't beaten any contender as well.
Marquardt had hard losses and serious wins, but so is Jardine. Jardine won against Griffin and Liddell - top comp. Had losses against Wanderlei, Rampage (very hard fought decision).

That's all pretty close. Close enough to consider both events equal.
