Its being called the biggest event in MMA history because it is the biggest event in history. This event is the most anticipated event ever, it has the highest expectations and will probably be the most watched event ever. The significance of this event is why it is being called the biggest. Judging an event by how many tickets it sells is just stupid. Its being held in a smaller venue like the 11,000 seat Mandalay Bay Events center but most shows held by the UFC in Las Vegas are in small venues. Dana himself has said before that he will never have a show in an arena with a capacity of over 30k because than the octagon becomes difficult to see for people in the upper levels. Larger arenas take away from the experience. And we know the UFC makes most of their money for events off of PPV sales and not at the gate. ESPN is not biased reporting, TS you are just a moron and there is no other conclusion.

Because Mandalay Bay has a convention center and there is the UFC FanExpo over the same weekend. Pretty easy to understand really.

There's a good argument for some other events being at least as big as far as cards go but I think symbolically it is probably is the biggest event.

Let's look at it logically....UFC is the biggest org in MMA history, and this is their biggest event. It only makes sense that the biggest event by the biggest org would be the biggest in the sports history.
