There is not that much significance if the main event is Lesnar vs. Mir...sorry. It's a good card but, in no way can you call it the biggest.

What a fucking trainwreck of a thread. It managed to flood itself with idiots content with criticizing typical Zuffa hyperbole *and* idiots who are still watching Pride videos with their tissues and Ricky Lake re-runs.

Pride Final Conflict 2005

is bigger than UFC 100. It had the biggest fight in MMA history and tons of huge fights. Don't get me wrong UFC 100 is a GREAT card but, it is in no way the biggest. There are no long time established fighters that that are staples in the sport besides GSP and there are no hugely awaited and speculated matches like CroCop vs. Fedor. And while Alves is a great opponent it isn't like BJ vs. GSP 2. And Hendo vs. Bisping is a nice match but, nothing epic about it.

Biggest MMA event in America however I think Pride Shockwave 2002 was the bigger event.

GSP, Hendo, and Alves are all great fighters but, none of the fights are huge fights.
You sir, are a scholar.

Not being sarcastic btw, great job

Who's this Ricky Lake you speak of?

Was that a tv show on the WB?

If I had to guess...they called Dana and asked him for a comment on 100...

"biggest event ever!" Dana

ESPN ran with it.
